Revenue from Apple's global iTunes sales, including music, video and apps, totaled $6 billion in 2011, up 55 percent from approximately $4.2 billion last year, according to Billboard.biz.
GRAMMY-nominated artist Blake Shelton was the top winner at the 2011 CMT Music Awards Wednesday at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn., garnering awards for Male Video of the Year for "Who Are You When I'm Not Looking" and Best Web Video of the Year for "Kiss My Country A**."
Nominations for the 2011 BET Awards were announced yesterday with GRAMMY-nominated artist Chris Brown in the lead with six nominations, including Best Male R&B Artist, the Viewers' Choice Award and Best Collaboration for "Look At Me Now," featuring Busta Rhymes and Lil Wayne, and "Deuces," featuring Kevin McCall and Tyga.
GRAMMY winner Miranda Lambert was the top winner at Sunday's 46th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, picking up awards for Female Vocalist of the Year and Single Record, Song and Video of the Year for "The House That Built Me."
