Apple reported record quarterly revenue of $46.33 billion and a record net profit of $13.06 billion for its fiscal first quarter ending Dec. 31, up from $26.74 billion in revenue and a $6 billion profit from the year-ago quarter.
Online spending for the first 42 days of the November–December 2011 holiday spending season has reached $26.8 billion, up 15 percent compared to the corresponding days last year, and online spending for the week ending Dec. 11 totaled $6.1 billion, also up 15 percent compared to last year, according to a comScore report.
