GRAMMY-winning artists Gregg Allman, Jerry Douglas and Lucinda Williams, along with GRAMMY-nominated producer Rick Hall were honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Americana Music Association at the 10th Annual Americana Honors & Awards show on Oct. 13 in Nashville.
GRAMMY winner Lady Gaga placed ninth on Vanity Fair magazine's 2011 New Establishment list, which recognizes the top 50 "buccaneering visionaries, engineering prodigies and entrepreneurs."
Amazon.com has posted second-quarter earnings of $191 million, down from $207 million in the year-ago quarter, and revenues of $9.91 billion, up 51 percent from $6.57 billion a year ago and exceeding analysts' revenue forecast of $9.37 billion.
