GRAMMY winner Taylor Swift's "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" topped the Billboard Hot 100 for a third week, making it the longest-running country song to hit No. 1 on the chart since Kenny Rogers' "Lady" led for six weeks in 1980, according to Billboard.biz. Swift also garnered the longest-running No. 1 country song by a woman since Debby Boone's "You Light Up My Life," which spent 10 weeks at No. 1 in 1977. (9/13)

Barclaycard Mercury Prize Nominees Announced
Nominations for the UK's 2012 Barclaycard Mercury Prize, an award honoring the best British or Irish album of the year, were announced Sept. 12 in London with Ben Howard's Every Kingdom, the Maccabees' Given To The Wild, Plan B's Ill Manors, and Jessie Ware's Devotion among the nominees. The other nominees are Alt-J, Django Django, Field Music, Lianne La Havas, Richard Hawley, Michael Kiwanuka, Sam Lee, and Roller Trio. The winner will be announced at the Barclaycard Mercury Prize Awards show on Nov. 1 in London. (9/13)
