Social networking sites attract a higher percentage of women globally, with 75.8 percent of women online visiting a social networking site in May versus 69.7 percent of men, according to a new comScore report, "Women On The Web: How Women Are Shaping The Internet." Women spent more time on social networking sites, averaging 5.5 hours per month compared to 3.9 hours per month for men. Social networking among women was highest in Latin America, reaching 94.1 percent of women online, and in North America, where it reached 91 percent. (7/28)

Following yesterday's report, German prosecutors have reported the death toll from last Saturday's Love Parade festival in Duisburg, Germany, has risen to 21. The latest victim was a 25-year-old woman, who died last night from injuries sustained in the tunnel crush at the festival. (7/28)
