Smart Phone Usage Continue To Rise
According to a new report from comScore, 60.7 million people age 13 and older in the United States owned smart phones during the three-month period ending in October, up 14 percent from the previous three-month period and representing one out of every four mobile subscribers. The leading smart phone platform in the United States was Research in Motion's BlackBerry with 35.8 percent of the U.S. market share, followed by Apple (24.6 percent), Google Android (23.5 percent), Microsoft (9.7 percent), and Palm (3.9 percent). The study also revealed 15.4 percent of smart phone users use their devices to listen to music, up 0.9 percent from the previous three-month period. (12/6)
