Samsung Launches Digital Music Service
Samsung has announced the U.S. launch of Music Hub, a digital music service that includes cloud storage, unlimited streaming, a radio player, and a music store. The service is currently only compatible with Samsung Galaxy S III mobile phones and will cost $10 per month after a 30-day free trial period. In May, Music Hub was launched in Germany, France, Spain, Italy, and the UK. In related news, Amazon has launched a fully licensed scan-and-match cloud music service that will allow Cloud Player users to duplicate their music collection in the cloud for $25 per year. The launch is part of Amazon's efforts to compete with Apple's iTunes Match service and will be compatible with Android devices, Amazon's Kindle Fire, Apple's iPhone and iPod Touch, and any Web browser.
