"Once" Leads Tony Awards Nominations
Nominations for the 2012 Tony Awards were announced today with "Once," the musical adaptation of the film that earned a GRAMMY nomination for Best Compilation Soundtrack Album For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media in 2007, leading with 12 nominations, including Best Musical, Best Orchestrations and Best Sound Design of a Musical, among others. GRAMMY-winning composer Alan Menken and lyricist Jack Feldman earned a nomination in the Best Original Score (Music and/or Lyrics) Written for the Theatre category for "Newsies." Additional nominees in the original score category include GRAMMY nominees Don Black and Frank Wildhorn ("Bonnie & Clyde"); Grant Olding ("One Man, Two Guvnors"); and Wayne Barker and Rick Elice ("Peter And The Starcatcher"). The Tony Awards will take place June 10 in New York. (5/1) 

Björk, Louis C.K. Among Webby Award Winners
Winners of the 16th Annual Webby Awards were announced today with GRAMMY-nominated artist Björk earning the Webby Artist of the Year award and GRAMMY-winning comedian Louis C.K. receiving the Webby Person of the Year honor. Other winners included online music services Pandora and Spotify, and social media platforms Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest, among others. GRAMMY Live, The Recording Academy's three-day online broadcast leading to the 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards, was nominated for the third consecutive year in the Events & Live Webcasts category. Winners will be honored during a ceremony on May 21 in New York. (5/1)

SiriusXM Radio Achieves Record Subscriber Total
SiriusXM Radio added 405,000 subscribers during the first quarter ending March 31, bringing its total number of subscribers to a record 22.3 million. The company reported a quarterly profit of $108 million, up 38 percent from $78 million in the year-ago period, and revenue increased 11 percent to a record $805 million. (5/1)
