NMPA Honors Diane Warren
GRAMMY-winning songwriter Diane Warren will be honored with the National Music Publishers' Association's 2010 Songwriter Icon Award, which recognizes outstanding songwriters who personify the vision of NMPA and the goals of its members. Warren will be honored at the organization's annual meeting on June 16 in New York. Past recipients include Kara DioGuardi, GRAMMY-winning Evanescence's Amy Lee, Neil Sedaka, and GRAMMY winner Jimmy Webb. (6/8)

Apple Unveils IPhone 4
Apple will launch the new iPhone 4 on June 24 in the United States, France, Germany, Japan, and the UK, with a worldwide release set for end of September. The new model will feature a higher resolution display, video recording, an upgraded 5-megapixel camera with flash, and improved battery life. Apple also unveiled a new feature called FaceTime, which will enable users to video chat between iPhone 4 devices and over Wi-Fi wireless hot spots using the added front-facing and rear-facing cameras. A 16GB model will retail for $199 and the 32GB model will retail for $299. (6/8)
