"We Belong Together
," written by five-time GRAMMY winner Randy Newman for the film Toy Story 3, won the Oscar for Music (Original Song) at the 83rd Annual Academy Awards on Feb. 27 in Los Angeles. GRAMMY winner Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross won for Music (Original Score) for their score for The Social Network. Newman's score for Toy Story 3 won the GRAMMY for Best Score Soundtrack Album For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media at the 53rd Annual GRAMMY Awards on Feb. 13. (2/28)

Headphone Sales Up 17 Percent
Sales of headphones priced $100 and up increased 17 percent in units and 30 percent in dollars in 2010, according to market research company NPD Group. According to NPD Group Executive Director of Industry Analysis Ross Rubin, 18 percent of consumers who purchased headphones priced $100 and up said those products endorsed by music artists they recognized was either extremely or very important in their purchase decisions. Current artists with individual headphone lines include Justin Bieber, Sean "Diddy" Combs, Dr. Dre, Lady Gaga, and Ludacris. (2/28)
