Myspace U.S. Visitors Down Nearly 8 Percent
Social media property Myspace drew 30.5 million unique U.S. visitors in September, down 7.6 percent from 33 million in July, according to figures released by comScore. The total placed Myspace at No. 35 on comScore's list of top 50 U.S. Web properties for the month. Myspace, which was acquired by Specific Media in June, has plans to become a music-focused site and could potentially develop Internet radio and on-demand streaming music services, according to Billboard.biz. , executive vice president of digital for Interscope Geffen A&M, is reportedly leaving the company for a position at MixedMediaWorks, according to Billboard.biz. Details on a replacement for Mico were not disclosed, but his responsibilities are expected to be taken on by Jeremy Summers, newly hired executive vice president and chief marketing officer.
