' "Global Entertainment and Media Outlook: 2011–2015" predicts only the music industry and newspapers will experience declines in the U.S. with projected annual decreases of 0.4 percent through 2015. Overall, U.S. entertainment and media spending is expected to grow at a compound annual rate of 4.6 percent to $555 billion through 2015, exceeding the 3.8 percent increase projected last year. The report predicts revenue from the digital industry will reach $100 billion on a gross basis this year and on a net basis in 2012, and Internet advertising is expected to top the film industry with a projected $46.3 billion gain.
