Live Nation Reports 2Q Loss
Live Nation reported a second-quarter loss of $34.6 million, a wider deficit compared to a loss of $27.2 million during the year-ago quarter, and a 21 percent revenue increase to $1.27 billion, an increase attributed mainly to the company's merger with Ticketmaster in January. Concert revenue declined 7.1 percent to $860 million and ticketing revenue fell 14.3 percent to $264 million due to a 16.8 percent drop in ticket unit sales. (8/6)
