Kennedy Center Receives $10 Million
Kennedy Center Chairman David M. Rubenstein has announced a $10 million personal donation to the performing arts complex that will be allocated over the course of five years. Half of the donation will be allocated to the National Symphony Orchestra, a $2.5 million programming fund named for Rubenstein will support various productions, $1.5 million will provide assistance for the center's arts education programs, and $200,000 will support the center's awards and fundraising efforts, including the Kennedy Center Honors. MySpace Hires Andreone, Partners With Downtown Music
As part of the company's relaunch, MySpace Records named David Andreone as its new general manager and announced a new label services partnership with Downtown Music, which will provide distribution and artist development support.
