GRAMMYs Spike Sales

GRAMMYs Spike Sales
GRAMMY nominees/performers Mumford & Sons' Sigh No More rose to No. 2 on the Billboard 200 with sales of 49,000 units, up 99 percent due in part to an increase in digital sales following the group's performance on the 53rd Annual GRAMMY Awards on Feb. 13, according to Billboard.biz. Further sales increases are expected next week, following a full week's impact from the GRAMMY telecast. Best New Artist GRAMMY winner Esperanza Spalding's Chamber Music Society rose to No. 1 on the Contemporary Jazz Albums chart with a gain of 243 percent. Other GRAMMY performers experiencing initial sales increases include Justin Bieber's My Worlds Acoustic (up 240 percent) and My World 2.0 (up 145 percent), Eminem's Recovery (up 51 percent), Bruno Mars' Doo-Wops & Hooligans (up 24 percent), and Rihanna's Loud (up 24 percent).
