GRAMMYs Drive Adele To 20th Week At No. 1
The 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards helped drive sales for Adele's GRAMMY-winning 21 as the album notched its 20th week atop the Billboard 200 with sales of 237,000 units for the week ending Feb. 12, a 95 percent sales increase. The set marks the longest run at the top of the chart since the soundtrack to The Bodyguard spent 20 weeks at No. 1 from 1992–1993. A full post-GRAMMY Awards sales report is expected next week. owners, including Allen & Company and Och-Ziff Capital Management Group LLC, are seeking to sell the performing rights organization for approximately $500 million, according to a New York Post report. The organization has hired Goldman Sachs to spearhead the sale, which has already drawn a bid from several private equity firms and Warner Music Group. (2/15)
