GRAMMY Winners To Pay Tribute To Clinton Foundation
GRAMMY winners Bono, Lady Gaga and Usher will perform at A Decade of Difference, a concert celebrating the 10th anniversary of the William J. Clinton Foundation, on Oct. 15 at the Hollywood Bowl in Hollywood, Calif. The event will be broadcast live on Yahoo and all proceeds will go toward the foundation, which was founded by the former president to "implement sustainable programs that improve access worldwide to investment, opportunity and lifesaving services now and for future generations." U.S. Ad Spending Up 3.2 Percent
Total U.S. advertising expenditures reached $71.5 billion during the first six months of 2011, up 3.2 percent compared to the same period last year, according to data from advertising and marketing research firm Kantar Media. Online spending increased 12.9 percent and search engine investments were up 8.6 percent. Despite the overall increase, ad spending among the 10 largest advertisers was down 0.5 percent to $8.2 billion, and spending among the top two advertisers, Procter & Gamble and AT&T, was down 7.8 percent ($1.38 billion) and 2.6 percent ($1.13 billion), respectively.
