Gotye Takes Top Prize At APRA Music Awards
Singer/songwriter Gotye was the top winner at the 2012 APRA Music Awards on May 28 in Sydney, taking home trophies for Most Played Australian Work and Song of the Year for "Somebody That I Used To Know" featuring Kimbra, as well as the Songwriter of the Year honor. GRAMMY winners AC/DC earned the Most Played Australia Work Overseas award for Highway To Hell, and GRAMMY-nominated duo LMFAO received the International Work of the Year award for "Party Rock Anthem." Additional winners were Birds Of Tokyo, Busby Marou, Shane Nicholson, the Potbelleez, and Marvin Priest. (5/29)
