Gaga Wins Eight VMAs
GRAMMY winner Lady Gaga took home eight awards at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards on Sept. 12, including Video of the Year, Best Female Video and Best Pop Video for "Bad Romance," becoming the second most honored act in a single night. GRAMMY winner Peter Gabriel holds the record for most wins in a single night, taking home nine VMAs in 1987 for "Sledgehammer." GRAMMY winner Eminem took home two awards, Best Male Video and Best Hip-Hop Video for "Not Afraid." Also honored were 30 Seconds To Mars, Justin Bieber, Florence And The Machine, Jay-Z, and Alicia Keys. (9/13)

BMI Honors Lil Wayne
GRAMMY winner Lil Wayne was honored for the second consecutive year as Songwriter of the Year at the BMI Urban Awards on Sept. 10 in Los Angeles. Also honored were Polow Da Don as Producer of the Year, will.i.am of the GRAMMY-winning Black Eyed Peas with the President's Award and Urban Song of the Year for "Boom Boom Pow," and EMI Music Publishing for Urban Publisher of the Year.
