First-Time GRAMMY Nominee: Big Sean

(The Recording Academy asked some of this year's first-time GRAMMY nominees to collect their thoughts and share what it feels like to be nominated for a GRAMMY.)

Raised in Detroit by way of California, rapper Big Sean, neé Sean Michael Anderson, is nominated for Best Rap Performance as a featured artist on Kanye West's "Mercy" with Pusha T and 2 Chainz. He also earned a Best Rap Song nomination for the track, which is featured on the 2012 compilation album, Kanye West Presents G.O.O.D.Music: Cruel Summer.
