Lady Antebellum was named the top country act of 2010, leading Billboard's Top Country Album Artists, Top Country Albums for Need You Now, Hot Country Songs Artists, and Country Digital Songs charts for "Need You Now." Eminem was named Top R&B/Hip-Hop Artist and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Album Artist. In related year-end news, Justin Bieber has been named the world's most-streamed music artist in 2010, collecting 1.07 billion streams through Dec. 7 according to video analytics company TubeMogul. Honolulu Symphony Seeks Liquidation
Lawyers for the Honolulu Symphony will appear today before the United States Bankruptcy Court to request a Chapter 7 liquidation for the 110-year-old symphony, according to a Yahoo News report. Under the Chapter 7 liquidation, the symphony would shut down and sell all of its remaining assets to pay creditors. In a December filing last year, the symphony reported assets of between $100,000 and $500,000, and liabilities of $1 million to $10 million. (12/13)
