Following yesterday's report on online traffic during Black Friday (Nov. 26), research firm comScore reported that online spending on Cyber Monday (Nov. 30) totaled more than $1 billion, up 16 percent compared to the corresponding day last year, marking the largest-ever online spending day. Average spending per transaction on Cyber Monday was up 10 percent to $60.05, and total transactions increased 6 percent to 17.1 million. Overall, online spending for the first 29 days of November reached $13.55 billion, a 13 percent increase compared to the corresponding period last year.
