GRAMMY-nominated artist Kenny Chesney topped Forbes' list of country music's top-earning artists for the second consecutive year with estimated earnings of $50 million. Toby Keith placed second ($48 million), GRAMMY winner Taylor Swift ($45 million) and Rascal Flatts ($45 million) tied for third, and GRAMMY winner Tim McGraw ($30 million) was fifth. The figures represent estimated gross earnings for the year ending June 2010 and include box office receipts, merchandise revenue, album sales, publishing royalties, and income from endorsements and licensing deals. In other country music news, Ferlin Husky and GRAMMY-winning songwriter/producer Billy Sherrill were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame on May 24. GRAMMY winner Jimmy Dean and artist Don Williams will be inducted Oct. 24. (5/24)

CTS Eventim Acquires TicketOne
German concert promoter and ticket company CTS Eventim has purchased an additional 50 percent interest in Italian ticketing market leader TicketOne for $25.5 million. Combined with its previous acquisition, CTS Eventim now holds close to a 100 percent stake in the ticketing company. CTS Eventim acquired Swiss firm Ticketcorner last month as part of its European expansion strategy. (5/24)
