Brown Exits Spotify, Rhino Ups Gore
Spotify SVP of strategic partnerships Paul Brown is leaving the European music streaming service after 18 months, according to Billboard.biz. Brown will remain as a UK consultant to Topspin Media and a replacement has yet to be announced. Warner Music Group has promoted Kevin Gore from executive VP/GM to president and CEO of Rhino Entertainment, the company's catalog and licensing division. Gore will oversee all day-to-day operations, including management of the Grateful Dead's intellectual property, and will serve as co-chairman of Frank Sinatra Enterprises, a joint venture between WMG and the Sinatra family.
