Billboard Honors Swift, Latin GRAMMY-nominated Artists
GRAMMY winner Taylor Swift will be honored with the Woman of the Year award on Dec. 2 in New York at the 2011 Billboard Women in Music event, celebrating the most powerful and talented women in the music business. In related news, Latin GRAMMY-nominated artists Los Tucanes De Tijuana, Paquita La Del Barrio and Jenni Rivera will be honored at the inaugural Premios Billboard de la Música Mexicana, an awards show devoted to regional Mexican music. Los Tucanes De Tijuana will be honored with the Premio Legado Musical for their lengthy and rich musical career; Paquita La Del Barrio will receive the La Voz award, which honors an artist who exhibits a distinctive and unique persona; and Jenni Rivera will be honored with El Premio de La Estrella, which recognizes the achievements of a musical artist beyond performance.
