ASCAP Honors Latin Music Artists
Latin GRAMMY-winning singer/songwriter Claudia Brant and Latin GRAMMY nominee Anthony "Romeo" Santos were named Songwriters of the Year at the 20th annual ASCAP Latin Music Awards on March 20 in Los Angeles. The Latin Song of the Year award went to La Original Banda El Limón's "Di Que Regresarás," penned by Carlos M. Ferraresi. GRAMMY and Latin GRAMMY winner Marc Anthony was honored with the Founders Award, which recognizes songwriters and composers who have made "pioneering contributions to music by inspiring and influencing their fellow creators." One Direction Makes Billboard 200 History
One Direction's Up All Night debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 176,000 units sold, marking the first debut album by a UK group to top the chart, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Overall album sales this week totaled 5.6 million units, down 10 percent compared to the same period last week, and down 1 percent compared to the same point in 2011. (3/21)
