ASCAP Honors Dr. Luke, Max Martin
GRAMMY-nominated producers Lukasz "Dr. Luke" Gottwald and Max Martin were named Songwriters of the Year and GRAMMY winner Pat Monahan of Train earned Song of the Year for "Hey, Soul Sister" at the 28th Annual ASCAP Pop Music Awards on April 27 in Los Angeles. GRAMMY nominees Band Of Horses were honored with the Vanguard Award, recognizing the impact of musical genres that help shape the future of American music, and Rod Stewart was presented with the ASCAP Founders Award for his influence on music creators. Additional songwriters garnering awards included Keith Harris, Steve Kipner, Ari Levine, Frederic Riesterer, and Stargate's Mikkel Eriksen and Tor Hermansen, among others. (4/28)
