GRAMMY-nominated producer/songwriter Max Martin was named Songwriter of the Year and GRAMMY winner Bruno Mars earned Song of the Year for "Just The Way You Are" as part of the Smeezingtons with Khari "Needlz" Cain and Cassius D. Kalb at the 29th Annual ASCAP Pop Music Awards on April 18 in Los Angeles. GRAMMY winners Peter Frampton, Trent Reznor and Carly Simon were honored with the ASCAP Global Impact Award, Golden Note Award and Founders Award, respectively. At the 43rd Annual GMA Dove Awards on April 19 in Atlanta, GRAMMY winner Jason Crabb won the Artist of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year awards. Also garnering multiple awards was GRAMMY winner Laura Story, who took home Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year for Blessings and Song of the Year for the title track. The awards show is set to air on April 24. Finalists for the 2012 Billboard Music Awards were announced with GRAMMY winner Adele in the lead with nominations in 18 categories, including Top Artist, Top Female Artist and Top Billboard 200 Artist. Other top finalists are LMFAO, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, and Lil Wayne. The awards will take place live from Las Vegas on May 20. (4/20)
