AEG Launches Axs Ticketing
Sports and entertainment company AEG has launched Axs.com, a website supporting the company's new online ticketing platform. The platform marks the first initiative for Outbox Enterprises, a joint venture between AEG, Cirque du Soleil and former Ticketmaster CEO Frederic D. Rosen. Axs will offer tickets exclusively for concerts at the AEG-operated Ogden Theatre and Bluebird Theater in Denver, and later this year will sell tickets for events at San Francisco's Warfield and Regency Ballroom. The platform is expected to expand into other major domestic markets and international territories through 2012, including London's 02 arena. (8/23)
