54th GRAMMY Awards Telecast Earns Six Emmy Nods
The 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards received six Emmy nominations during today's official nominations announcement for the 64th Primetime Emmy Awards. The 54th GRAMMY telecast earned nods for Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special; Outstanding Special Class Programs; Outstanding Art Direction for Variety or Nonfiction Programming; Outstanding Lighting Design/Lighting Direction for a Variety Special; Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Variety Series or Special; and Outstanding Technical Direction, Camerawork, Video Control for a Miniseries, Movie or a Special. The 64th Primetime Emmy Awards will air live from Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Sept. 23. (7/19)

GRAMMY Winners Garner Emmy Nominations
Nominations in the music categories for the 64th Primetime Emmy Awards were announced today with GRAMMY winners Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman and Adam Schlesinger and David Javerbaum garnering nominations in the Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics category for "Let Me Be Your Star" from "Smash" and "It's Not Just For Gays Anymore" from the 65th Annual Tony Awards, respectively. Garnering nominations in the Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music category were GRAMMY winners Lisa Coleman and Wendy Melvoin for "Touch" and Gustavo Santaolalla for "Hell On Wheels." GRAMMY-winning composer David Arnold earned a nomination for Outstanding Music Composition for a Miniseries, Movie or a Special (Original Dramatic Score) for "Sherlock: A Scandal In Belgravia (Masterpiece)," along with GRAMMY winner Michael Giacchino for "Disney Prep & Landing: Naughty Vs.
