It was extremely exciting and such an honor to be given a GRAMMY this year. We had come from such a blessed year with Need You Now and, along with the great artists we were nominated with, we were just content with being nominated and recognized this year. We sincerely had no idea that this would again be our year. When we heard our name called for Best Country Album, we were about as truly shocked as three people could be.

Pop ruled on Music's Biggest Night, which turned out to be one of the more emotional GRAMMY Awards to date. Adele dominated the night with six wins but the untimely passing of Whitney Houston resulted in sobering and reverent moments throughout the telecast.

The 54th annual GRAMMY Awards was an intensely emotional and deeply personal night for a number of reasons. The death of Houston was undoubtedly at the forefront of the minds of many performers and presenters, as some took the opportunity to emphasize the importance of celebrating her accomplishments, which touched millions.
