Independent's Day Music Conference
The Philadelphia Chapter will host its second annual Independent's Day Music Conference in July. Members and an impressive lineup of recording industry leaders will spend the day discussing and celebrating independent success in music. Panel topics include promotion, radio, branding, distribution, live entertainment, royalties, copyright law and much more. Guests will enjoy live music from some of Philadelphia's best independent artists and will have an invaluable opportunity to network with top industry professionals and fellow members.

GRAMMY-nominated singers and songwriters Joan Osborne and Eric Bazilian perform at the Philadelphia Chapter 2004 Heroes Awards

The Chapter hosts an impressive variety of events for the music community, including its Inside The Music GRAMMY Professional Development event series and the In The Mix GRAMMY Professional Networking event series. In addition, the Chapter provides opportunities for its members to network at events such as an annual GRAMMY Awards Telecast Viewing Party, where the local musical community gathers to cheer on the nominees. Another Chapter tradition is an exclusive members-only Annual Membership Holiday Celebration, which offers an opportunity to gather with fellow members and members of the Chapter Board and staff and to celebrate the year's achievements. The Chapter recognizes outstanding individuals and institutions in the Philadelphia region that have improved the environment for the creative community with its annual Recording Academy Honors, a gala evening event that attracts recording artists, key entertainment executives and community leaders.
